Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the 22nd season that premiered on CBS 5 August 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the first hosts of The Talk. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. She was a journalist prior to becoming a host, but her love of writing was for the written word. It actually earned her an Emmy. Her outstanding talk show also brought the host an Emmy. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010.
