Mary-Kate Olsen (born June 13 June 13, 1986) is an American actress, fashion designer and producer. She is also an author and businesswoman. She is the sister of her fraternal twin Ashley Olsen and she cofounded The Row fashion brand and Elizabeth James and Elizabeth James. The duo also founded the less costly lines Olsenboye (as in StyleMint) and Olsenboye. Olsen began acting on her own in adulthood until 2012. She's younger than actor Elizabeth Olsen. Mary Kate was born in Sherman Oaks Los Angeles California. She is the daughter of Jarnette 'Jarnie, who is a personal manager as well as David Dave Olsen whom works as an expert in mortgage banking and real property developer. Alongside her twin Ashley Mary-Kate is blessed with an older sister, Elizabeth Olsen; a younger brother, Trent as well as two half siblings, who were born of her second marriage to her father. Olsen's parents divorced from one another in 1996. Madison Pettis, a Disney star from the late 1990s to late 2000s. After appearing in Barney & Friends from 2005 until 2006, Pettis was given a much bigger break: starring as the lost daughter of The Rock's quarterback role in The Game Plan.
